Hello!

My name is Julya Mae Jones, and I'm social media editor-in-chief at The Huron Emery. I am in 12th grade, my fourth year on staff. I love the sense of community that comes with being on The Emery and how everyone supports each other. When I first joined staff, I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but My adviser Mrs. Badalemnte believed in me and convinced me to go to Michigan State's summer workshop. After attending the workshop, I fell in love with journalism and realized that it was something I wanted to go to school for and pursue as a career.
